In this edition of “Adventures With Philimena” I accompany my aunt and uncle as they are “gowned” in the community of Todee. The inhabitants of Todee is comprised mostly of the “Kpelle” tribe, the tribe my father belongs to. Growing up in America I only heard tales of the people and their traditions, and occasionally would hear my father and his siblings speak the language to one another. This was my first experience to see the Kpelle tribe, my tribe in their true element and it was an experience I will never forget! Check out the full episode below!
