So when this lock down started I decided to buy a bag of rice per week for the staff in my compound share and take home. For those of you who don’t know our staple food in Liberia is rice?, 99% percent of Liberians eat rice at least once a day or more??⁣ ⁣

Yesterday I saw my girl Suma, IG: @liberian__susu started a fundraiser to do the same on a larger scale to help feed Liberians during these uncertain times! After posting about feeding Liberian families yesterday, I was overwhelmed with the outpour of support and interest!

I want to specially thank Hanadi, my friend from Detroit who was the first person to message me and mobilized her crew to start supporting! Shout out to her crew, her mama, cousin & our ?? friend Nike as well! Also these wonderful folks on IG that were first in line to donate @r.ghandour87 @Moe_imanwahab @zeze_saad21 @nanci011 @msall28 @sarahayoubmedlej @samarjoumaa @clreesevivian‼️ You guys are amazing‼️

Another MAJOR shoutout to  @African Diaspora News Channel  who always checks on us in Liberia ?? and supported❗️ The best news of all is last night myself, Suma, and a local NGO Teach For Liberia IG: @teachforliberia & myself put our heads together and have decided to work together to create awareness and encourage young people in Liberia and world-wide to get involved ? Stay tuned this week as we will roll out our plans to continue to feed Liberian families❗️Please visit their pages to learn more on their initiatives. PLEASE continue to DONATE & SHARE let’s work together to support one another #liberiastrong?????
